Paediatric First Aid at Work (QCF)
This is the twelve-hour qualification for individuals who have responsibility for the care of children and infants in the workplace and meets the requirements for paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014. It is formally accredited by an awarding body and certificates are valid for three years. Delegates will learn about the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first-aider, first aid for an infant or a child who is unresponsive and is / is not breathing normally, an infant or a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction, an infant or a child with head and spinal injuries, an infant or a child who has sustained an electric shock and illnesses, injuries and emergencies. In addition, delegates will learn about how to complete accident records in a childcare setting.
